HECTASPEND S unique rheological properties activate at downhole temperatures in excess of 250°F. HECTASPEND S suspends drill cuttings and weighting materials without adversely increasing apparent viscosity. This results in low apparent viscosity drilling fluids to attain a higher carrying capacity and solids removal efficiency. HECTASPEND S helps to prevent stuck pipe and barite sag in deviated wells through better solids suspension. For similar properties in lower temperature wells, RM99 PLUS is recommended.
